MARYLAND Daniel L. Speenburgh, 27, of Maryland, N.Y., died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at Albany Medical Center, Albany.
He was born June 18, 1972 in Catskill, the son of Walter and Sharon (Votee) Speenburgh.
Daniel lived most of his life in Otego having only recently moved to Maryland. He was involved in roofing and had worked for Shane C. Couse Construction, Oneonta.
He had attended Unatego High School in Wells Bridge.
A very talented young man, Daniel was a happy, outgoing, kind-hearted person. He enjoyed life and had many friends. He loved music and played the bass guitar.
Daniel is survived by his fiancee, Crystal Brown of Maryland, N.Y.; four children, Jacob, Megan, Hunter James and Briahna; his parents, Walter and Sharon Speenburgh of Otego; four brothers, Walter Speenburgh Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Hobart, Shawn Speenburgh of Otego, Christopher Allen Speenburgh of Bloomville, and Walter James Speenburgh of Delhi; one sister, Tammy Speenburgh and her fiance, Scott Fletcher, of Sidney; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Votee of Oneonta; and paternal grandfather, Clifford Speenburgh of Stamford. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, from the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Fred Albrecht, pastor of the Otego United Methodist Church, Otego, officiating.
Daniel will be cremated at the Hillington Crematory, Morris, and his cremains buried in the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta, in the spring.
Friends may call at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, when the family will be present at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to his mother, Sharon Speenburgh, for a trust fund to be established for his children.
Funeral arrangements are by the Bookhout Funeral Homes of Oneonta and Otego.
COOPERSTOWN Mrs. Margaret Y. Ramsay, 71, of Springfield Center and formerly of Cooperstown, died Saturday evening, Dec. 18, 1999.
She was born on June 28, 1928, in Montreal, Canada, a daughter of Lionel A. and Elsie M. (Dimock) Forsyth.
She married Dr. Allan G. Ramsay on Oct. 27, 1951, in Montreal, Canada.
Mrs. Ramsay spent her youth in Montreal and graduated from the Trafalgar School for Girls there. She then attended McGill University in Montreal, graduating in 1949.
A member of Christ Church in Cooperstown, Mrs. Ramsay had lived in Cooperstown for the past 29 years, recently moving to Springfield Center.
A civic minded person, she had been very active in community affairs for many years. She was a volunteer for the Junior Leagues in both Montreal and Birmingham, Ala., the Maycourt Club and the Art Gallery, both in London, Ontario, Canada, the Florence Crittenden League of Boston, Mass., a member and past president of the Lake and Valley Garden Club in Cooperstown and a member of the Cooperstown Country Club, where she served on various committees. She was a former member of the London (Canada) Hunt Club, the Canadian Club of New York and a former member and past board member of Gallery 53 in Cooperstown.
Mrs. Ramsay is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dr. Allan G. Ramsay of Springfield Center; her daughter, Dr. Jennifer Ann Ramsay of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; her son, Alastair G.I. Ramsay of Seattle, Wash.; her four grandchildren, Simon Ramsay, Cameron Ramsay, Caroline Ramsay and Brandon Ramsay; her brother, Avard Forsyth of Mexico; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Annabelle Andrews.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Springfield Center, with the Rev. Persis P. Williams, rector, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Canon George F. French, rector emeritus of Christ Church in Cooperstown.
At the request of the family there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial gifts may be made to the American Lung Association of Mid-New York, 311 Turner St., Suite 415, Utica, N.Y. 13501 or the Cooperstown Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 322, Cooperstown, N.Y. 13326.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown.

ONEONTA Mrs. Helen O. Bundy, 89, of Oneonta, passed away at her residence Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, after a brief illness.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
