Margaret Rudenfeldt

WORCESTER — Mrs. Margaret Rudenfeldt, 78, passed away Jan. 22, 2006, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta.

She was born Sept. 3, 1927, in Inwood, the daughter of David and Lena (Rhinehart) Gartland.

She was married to Arthur Rudenfeldt. He predeceased her in 1997.

Survivors include her three daughters, Mary Berg, of Bay Shore, Nancy Winchell, of Granville, and Joan Olsen, of Lakewood, Pa.; one son, Donald Gilkinson, of Otego; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Bernius, of Bay Shore.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, with the Rev. Lyman Johnson officiating.

Burial will take place in Charlotteville Cemetery at a later date.

Contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Worcester Emergency Squad, Worcester, NY 12197.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley.

Loretta Lee Rittlinger

SOUTHWEST HARBOR, Maine — Loretta Lee Rittlinger, 70, passed away Jan. 15, 2006, in Southwest Harbor, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 15, 1935, the daughter of Harry H. and Bernice (Brewer) Beers of West Tremont, Maine.

She graduated from Pemetic High School, was involved in many activities, and very proud to be a member of the National Honor Society.

Loretta had many jobs in Southwest Harbor, but she enjoyed working at Artful Designs the most for the past five years. She met and made friends with many wonderful people during her time there. Her smile and grace touched all those who came through the doors.

The returns of the birds each spring were also blessed by Loretta’s thoughtfulness, as she provided a hearty welcome for them every year.

Lovingness was always a part of Loretta’s life, in her home, in family and in her shining eyes.

She was a loving mother to sons, Michael and Tim, and to daughters, Karen, Bernice and Diane.

Loretta will be remembered in the hearts of special friends, Barbara Streubell, Jeannine Gilpin, Agnes Sawyer, Gail, Trish, and the gang at Westside Florist.

Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Edward H. Rittlinger, of Southwest Harbor, Maine; two sons, Michael Ryskamp and wife Tammy of Schoolcraft, Mich., and Tim Fallon and wife Lori, of Seal Cove, Maine; two daughters, Bernice Fallon, of Northeast Harbor, Maine, and Diane Fennelly and husband Michael, of Lamoine, Maine; a brother, Harry H. Beers Sr., of Southwest Harbor, Maine; and a sister, Hazel Kurschner, of Biddeford, Maine. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle, Ryan, Ebony, Isaiah, Jacob, Angelique, Corey, Brittany and Brooke; and her mother- and father-in-law, Helen and Donald Rittlinger, of Oneonta.

Loretta was predeceased by both of her parents; her sister, Lernice Lawson, of Ellsworth, Maine; and her daughter, Karen Fallon Kramp, of Southwest Harbor, Maine.

Calling hours were held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert, where funeral services were held 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Wayne Buchanan, officiating.

Christopher Riley Andrews

FRONT ROYAL, Va. — Christopher Riley Andrews, 3, of Front Royal, Va., went to be with Our Lord in Heaven on Monday, Jan. 23, 2006.

He was the son of Joseph J. Andrews Sr. and Kristie Burghart Andrews. Chrissy was the beloved brother of Joseph J. Andrews Jr., Benjamin M. Andrews, Wyatt O. Andrews and James (Jimmy) Andrews.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at the Riverton United Methodist Church in Front Royal, Va., for family and friends.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at the Riverton United Methodist Church with Pastor John Lock officiating. Interment will follow at the Andrews property at 735 Megeath Farm Lane, Front Royal, Va. After the interment, family and friends will gather at the Riverton United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Christopher was born Jan. 24, 2002, in Woodstock, Va. He was a member of Riverton United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents and brothers, Christopher is survived by grandparents, David Eugene and Frances Mary Andrews, of Davenport Center, Roy Dutcher Burghart, of Walton, Rose Ann Burghart, of Clearwater, Fla., and Dorothy Fuller, of Delhi; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Christopher is loved and missed by many. He was such a happy and pleasant boy who filled our lives with so much joy. His permanent smile and big beautiful blue eyes will be in our hearts forever.

He loved to ride 4-wheelers, go boating and fishing, go sleigh riding, play backhoes, trains and slot cars with his Daddy and brothers. His brothers loved to play with him too. He was his Mommy’s "Little Chrissy." We will forever love you, "Chrissy."

Doris E. Armstrong

SPRINGFIELD CENTER — Mrs. Doris E. Armstrong, 94, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
