Reade S. Sisson TUCSON, Ariz. Dr. Reade S. Sisson of Oneonta died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, in Tucson Ariz., after a brief illness.
Dr. Sisson was born in West Berne on Aug. 24, 1916, the son of Lloyd M. and Nellie Sisson.
He was educated at the local one-room schoolhouse and at Schoharie High School. He graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1937 and from Albany Medical College in 1941.
He married Winifred E. Beacom on April 16, 1942. Winnie died Jan. 17, 1953. Dr. Sisson married Kathleen Nash on June 29, 1956.
After his medical internship and residency, he served in the United States Army Medical Corps, in the 11th Armored Division and the 6th Infantry Division in New Guinea and the Philippines. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for action in Luzon and was discharged as a major.
He began practicing medicine in Oneonta in 1946. As a member of the A.O. Fox Hospital medical staff, he served as staff president on three occasions. He was health officer for the city of Oneonta for about 20 years and for the town of Oneonta for 31 years. He also served as medical consultant for the Otsego County Welfare Department and was a member of the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of New York.
Dr. Sisson was school physician of the Oneonta City School District from 1946 until 1998.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Mary and her husband, Jonathan; his son, Gary and his wife, Jill; and his sister, Carry Marx.
Dr. Sisson quietly touched the lives of countless members of his beloved Oneonta community.
A memorial service will be held in Oneonta this spring.

Helen Louise (Quick) Drumheller ITHACA Helen Louise (Quick) Drumheller, 78, of Ithaca, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 4, 2006.
Helen was predeceased by her brother, Paul Quick Sr.; her husband, Stuart Drumheller Sr.; her daughter, Elizabeth; and a good friend, Mildred Inman.
Helen is survived by her eight children, Stuart Jr. III (Debbie) of Poughkeepsie, Juanita (Al Butcher) of Midway, Ga., Linda (Doug) Hine of Newfield, David (Karen Madison) of Trumansburg, Wanda (Don) Musselman of Millville, Pa., Emily (David) Thurston of Ithaca, Mildred (Mike Faulkner) VanHoesen of Stamford, and John (Maria), of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
Helen was born in King Ferry to the late Charlotte Virginia (Volbrecht) and the late George Leroy Quick.
Helen graduated from Ithaca High School.
Mom’s legacy includes her unconditional love, religious values and invaluable mentoring of her children. Mom prayed for each of us every night.
Mom’s Christian faith included attending Tabernacle Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
Mom loved strawberries, roses and pearl necklaces, but mostly spending time with her children. We laughed so hard together that tears would roll down our faces. We sang gospel hymns together.
At Mom’s request, a celebration of her life will be held at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1019 N. Cayuga St., Ithaca, at 11 a.m. Feb. 7, 2006. Calling hours are at Wagner Funeral Home, 421 N. Aurora St., Ithaca, today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be in the spring in the Lakeview Cemetery in Ithaca.
Those who wish to remember Helen are asked to consider a memorial in her name to Hospice Care, 172 E. King Road, Ithaca, NY 14831.
Agnes M. Lynch HORSEHEADS Agnes M. Lynch, 84, formerly of Oneonta and most recently of Horseheads, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.
She was born April 3, 1921, in Oneonta, the daughter of Ray and Paule (Museux) Mumford.
She married Robert J. Lynch on April 7, 1951. He predeceased her March 5, 1998.
Agnes was a graduate of SUNY Oneonta, and before her marriage she taught school for a year. For several years she worked for NYSEG in Oneonta.
While her children were growing up, she was an active 4-H leader, as well as serving many years on the Board of Elections. Agnes was a wonderful homemaker and loved her family.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Oneonta.
She is survived by her children, Carol West of Watertown, Joan Oliver and her husband, Thomas, of Horseheads, and Annette Lynch of South Hill, Va.; her five grandchildren, Tanya and Daniel West, and Jeffrey, Bethany and Christy Oliver; her sister, Jean Pemberthy of Tonawanda; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, in St. Mary’s Church, Oneonta, with the Rev. Joseph Benintende, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the spring in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta, at which time the family will be in attendance

William Mark MacPherson ONEONTA William Mark MacPherson, 59, of Oneonta, died Feb. 3, 2006, at the Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
Born Aug. 16, 1946, in Bainbridge, he was the son of the late William D. and Marion Silvernail MacPherson.
He worked as a machine operator at Amphenol in Sidney until his stroke in the late 1970s.
Mark enjoyed spending time with his friends at The Duke and then at Nick’s Diner.
He is survived by his companion, Pam Harris, of Otego; his children, Kelly MacPherson of Oneonta, Heather Cole of Sidney and Zachary Harris of Otego; two brothers, Gary MacPherson of Oneonta and Reginald MacPherson of Afton; his sister, Joan Mannina of Laurens; his grandchildren, Sarah, Courtney and Ryan; and many, many friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 18, 2006, at the Sixth Ward Athletic Club. Please bring a dish to pass.

Ellen M. Graig BLYTHE, Ga. Ellen M. Graig, 78, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at the Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
