BAINBRIDGE — Rebecca L. (Gould) Kniffen, devoted wife, mother and friend, embarked on her final journey in life at age 71,

Rebecca was mother of nine children; grandmother of 36 grandchildren; and great-grandmother of 11.

She was a retiree of Keith Clark, Inc.

Rebecca is survived by seven daughters and two sons and their spouses, Sarah and Roy Poss, Monica Sutton Langert and Henry Langert, Lorena Arson and Dennis Larry, Deborah and David Jacobson, Richard and Anna Gould, Timothy and Lisa Gould, Nina and Brian Musarelli, Tammi Holtslander and James Goullette, Tonia and James Moore. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard and Ursla Raymond, G. Benjamin and Marion Raymond, Duane (Buzzy) Raymond, Phyllis Raymond; as well as Aunt Juanita Latimer; and several nieces and nephews.

Rebecca was predeceased by her husband of 19 years, Floyd D. Kniffen; her mother, Frances Sayles; her sister, Margaret Oliver; her father, Guerdon Raymond; and two grandsons, Shawn McFee and Shawn Smith.

She was also married to Edgar Holtslander and Dick Gould.

Calling hours will be held at the Zacharias Funeral Home, 78 Second St., Deposit, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, with a memorial service following at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Frank Richardson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Danielle House, 160 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905 in Rebecca Kniffen’s memory.

John Franklin Davis

ROXBURY — John Franklin Davis, of Roxbury, died Feb. 9, 2006.

He was born July 21, 1942, in Stamford. He was the son of Franklin and Hilda Davis.

John had been disabled for many years. He was a plumber, plus many more things before his disability.

He was predeceased by his father, Franklin, and mother, Hilda (Lockwood) Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of Roxbury; son, Richard and his wife, Tricia, of Grand Gorge; daughter, Veronica Richards and husband, William of Ashland; sister, Joyce O’Neil and husband, Dan of Roxbury; grandchildren, Steven and Venessa Richards and Jacob and Jared Davis; one niece, Karna Reed; and one nephew, Jeffery and wife Sandy.

Due to his wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.

Memorial donations may be given to the Roxbury Rescue Squad, Roxbury NY, 12474.

Arrangements were made by Aston-Basagic Funeral Home, Main Street, Hunter.
