Ralph J. McDonald Jr. WALTON Ralph J. McDonald Jr., 74, of Walton passed away Friday morning, Feb. 10, 2006, at home following a long Index Deaths of local interest in Chenango, Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie counties are: *Louise Rockefeller Kinsey, 86, Roanoke, Va., formerly of Bloomville. *Peter Lazio, 77, South Kortright. *Ralph J. Ralph was born in Downsville on July 30, 1931, the son of the late Ralph J. and Frances Conklin McDonald Sr.
He was a graduate of Downsville High School.
On Sept. 15, 1956, he married the former Florence F. Finch at the Methodist Parsonage, Walton.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed for many years in the maintenance department of SUNY Delhi as an electrician, retiring in 1993.
Ralph had many interests. He played baseball on the Hamden Polecats; he loved to hunt and fish; tend to his garden, raising vegetables and flowers; buying and selling antiques, often stripping and refinishing; visiting flea markets; traveling over the country; feeding the turkeys, deer, and chipmunks who would not be afraid of his presence, and eat out of his hand.
He also loved to watch his grandsons, Branden and Cody play sports.
He often went on the road, watching the Hartwick Football team play away games in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine.
He also loved his church. He was a member of the Walton First United Methodist Church, where he served as trustee, all around "handyman" and wreath maker at Christmas time.
Ralph was an active and honorary member of the Walton Fire Department for over 25 years. He also was a member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife, Florence F. McDonald; one daughter, Karen Gabriel of Delhi; two grandsons, Branden and Cody Gabriel; and a cousin, Marilynn Lewis, Walton.
Friends and relatives are invited to call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Mark DelGuidice officiating.
Burial will be in Paige Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial contributions in Ralph’s memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 101 North St., Walton or the Walton Fire Department, 61 West St., Walton, NY 13856.

Louise Rockefeller Kinsey ROANOKE, Va. Louise Rockefeller Kinsey, 86, of Roanoke, Va., formerly of Bloomville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
She was born in Bovina Center in 1919, daughter of Guy Corbin and Delle (MacPherson) Rockefeller.
She moved to Bloomville in 1946, married James H. Kinsey, and moved to Virginia in 1960.
Her life was devoted to caring and loving her family.
She is remembered as one to always share a meal with anyone who came to her door. She was mother to many special friends.
Mrs. Kinsey was predeceased by her husband, James Kinsey; a son, Robert J.; and three brothers, Almiron, William and Glenn Rockefeller; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Rockefeller.
Surviving are her sons, James Jr. and William Kinsey; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Mark Grim, Marie and Mickey Nichols, and Marsha Baker; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, all of Roanoke, Va., area. She has two brothers, Harry (Joyce) and Guy Rockefeller; one sister, Helen Perry; and one sister-in-law, Betty Rockefeller, all of Bloomville; one brother, Howard (Martha); sister-in-law, Marge Rockefeller of Delhi; and many nieces and nephews. Also in-laws; and good friends, Don Eggleston and family of Bainbridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Troutville Rescue Squad.
Funeral services were held at Oakey’s East Chapel, noon Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, with the Rev. Elmer Clemons and the Rev. Andrew Draughn, officiating.
Interment was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Peter Lazio SOUTH KORTRIGHT Peter Lazio, 77, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, in Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
He had been an area resident for more than 25 years, relocating from Long Island.
Peter was an avid hunter, and outdoorsman, who loved and adored his large family.
He will be remembered and missed by his wife of 33 years, Barbara, his three daughters, Robin (Bob) McConnell, of Oradell, N.J., Donna (Joe) Williams, of Smithtown, and Carol (Rob) Leonick, of Huntington, and his three sons, Peter (Leora) Lazio of Patchogue, Peter (Karol) Santiago, of Ridgefield, Conn., and John (Elsie) Santiago, of Malverne. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren.
Donations may be made in memory of Peter, to the Stamford Fire and Rescue Squad, Stamford, NY 12167.
Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Stamford, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006,
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, in Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Lynbrook, Long Island. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hall Funeral Home, Stamford, under the direction of William A. Tari.
