Thelma L. Klingman MOUNT UPTON Thelma L. Klingman, 83, of Mount Upton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.
She was born Sept. 12, 1922, daughter of the late Harold and Clara (Cook) Whitney in Binghamton.
Thelma married Warren Klingman on Nov. 25, 1942, in Sidney. He predeceased her Sept. 22, 1999.
She was a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Mount Upton and the United Methodist Women. Thelma was a past member of the Mount Upton Fire Auxiliary and was a past Cub Scout den mother.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda Klingman, Mount Upton, John and Gloria Klingman, Sidney, and Richard Klingman, Mount Upton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and David Walker, Los Lunas, N.M., Mary and John Twitchell, Mount Upton, and Ruth and Jerry Boyd, Osceola; sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Irving Bennett, Binghamton; brothers, Donald and Audrey Whitney, Binghamton, Lawrence Whitney, Binghamton, and Kenneth and Edith Whitney, Sacramento, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Gordon and Harold.
Friends called Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m. at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mount Upton, and the Rev. Paul Amara officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Upton Emergency Squad and the United Methodist Committee on Relief.
Arrangements were under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
Joan U. Dorr LAURENS A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held for Joan U. Dorr at the Main Street Baptist Church, 333 Main St., Oneonta, at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2006. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to the Catskill Area Hospice of Oneonta, to the American Cancer Society or to the Harry Edwin and Joan U. Dorr Scholarship Fund, Institutional Advancement, Hartwick College, Oneonta NY 13820.
The Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St. in Oneonta, is serving the family.
John C. Kenyon Sr. MARYLAND John C. Kenyon Sr., 64, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.

Larry Trask DUBLIN, Ohio Larry Trask, 70, of Dublin, Ohio, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1935, in Oneonta to the late Millard and Laura (Woodlands) Trask.
Larry graduated from Otego Central School in Otego, and from Bowling Green State University, where he received his BS in journalism in 1957.
He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and ROTC. He entered the United States Army upon his graduation and was later an Army Reservist, attaining the rank of captain.
Larry retired from the publishing and trade association management business in 1998, after a career that spanned nearly 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mickey Trask; his children, Cynthia (Bill) Jahn of Franklin, Michael (Marcy) Trask of Lexington, Ohio, Laurence Trask Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Richard Trask of Columbus, Ohio, Thad Linson of Dublin and Lori (James) Wolff of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Kyle Linson, Victoria Wolff, Ethan Jahn, Davis, Aaron, Erica and Monica Trask; and former spouse, Jeanne Anderson of Columbus.
A longtime Dublin resident, Larry was a Washington/Perry Township firefighter and EMT volunteer and an auxiliary Dublin Police officer. He was also a past-commander, Lazelle Post No. 411, American Legion, Dublin, and a member of the Theodore Roosevelt Association, Oyster Bay.
An award-winning Toastmaster, Larry was a single-engine aircraft pilot and a motorcycle and antique car enthusiast. He enjoyed photography, writing, reading and woodworking.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
