Nora (Brown) Fairbairn ROXBURY Nora (Brown) Fairbairn, 51, of Roxbury, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at her residence.

| She was born April 26, 1954, in Margaretville, to Ralph and Gloria Mayhew Brown.
She was married to Roger Fairbairn of Roxbury, who survives.
Nora lived in Texas, Margaretville and Roxbury. She enjoyed crafts and cooking. She loved her family and her pets.
In addition to her husband Roger, Nora is survived by one son, Russell Morse; two daughters, Christy Goodell and Kimberly Ackerley; eight grandchildren and one brother, George Brown.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretviile.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville, with the Rev. Richard Dykstra officiating.
Burial will be in Halcottsville Cemetery, Halcottsville.

Bertha A. Dockstader PITTSFIELD Bertha A. Dockstader, 89, of Pittsfield, was reunited with her husband and son, as she went home to her Lord on Friday, Feb. 24, 2006.
She was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Edmeston, the daughter of Floyd and Mina (Carleton) Rose.
She married Frederick M. Dockstader on her birthday, Sept. 10, 1936, when she was 20 years-old. He predeceased her on Dec. 7, 1992.
Bertha was a pillar of a woman, standing tall and firm in her convictions. She bestowed an easy smile, and remained loyal to her family whenever there was a need. Her first career was as a telephone operator in New Berlin, when you only needed the last four digits to make a phone call. Later Webb & Sons in New Berlin employed her.
Bertha loved various television programs, and enjoyed playing the organ and piano. She was a talented gardener with flowers and with vegetables. Many will remember her as the aka: Den Mother for the area youth in the 1950s. Her home welcomed all as additional members of the family, while she supplied them with beverages and pizza.
Her sisters Wilma Bennett, Betty Lou Lamb; her nephews, nieces, and numerous cousins survive Bertha.
Besides her husband, Frederick and her son, Richard, her sisters, Mabel Dye, Eva Dye, Beatrice Kibler, Beverly Weldon and her brothers, Kenneth Rose and Buddy Rose, predeceased Bertha.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating. Calling hours are from 1 to 3 p.m. before the service on Sunday.
Burial will be in the spring in Edmeston Union Cemetery
Contributions may be made in Bertha’s memory to the Catskill Area Hospice & Palatine Care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Elizabeth ’Betty’ Wright COOPERSTOWN Funeral services for Betty Wright, 85, of Lake Street, Cooperstown, who died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, will be held this summer at Christ Church in Cooperstown.
A full obituary is being prepared by the family and will be published in The Daily Star next week.
Arrangements are under the supervision of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown and Milford.
