David S. ’Danny’ Bobnick

ONEONTA — David S. "Danny" Bobnick, 60, died suddenly Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held Monday, April 24, 2006, in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Worcester.

A full obituary will appear in a later edition of The Daily Star.

The Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St. in Oneonta, is serving the family.

Osman Wilcox Waterman

DELHI — Osman Wilcox Waterman, 96, of Delhi, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Countryside Care Center, after a short illness.

Mr. Waterman was born in Meredith on Jan. 16, 1910, the son of the late George and Mabel Wilcox Waterman.

He attended Delaware Academy and was a graduate of Albany Business College.

On Aug. 27, 1933, he married the former Geneva Ruth Feasel. She died in May 2005.

Osman operated a dairy farm in Meredith until retirement in 1981. After retiring, he enjoyed gardening and working in his shop.

While farming in Meredith, he was active in the Meredith Baptist Church.

Osman is survived by a son, Frank M. Waterman and his wife, Cynthia, of Oneonta; two daughters, Arlene Kratt-Stark and her husband, Joel, of Whitestone, and Mary Edge of Milford, Pa.; four grandchildren, Katherine Bechtold and her husband, Dan, of Westminster, Colo., David Waterman and his wife, Deana, of Cherry Hill, N.J., Natasha Boehner and her husband, James, of Orrtanna, Pa., and Karen Coyle and her husband, Eric, of Bridgeton, N.J.; nine great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Nathaniel Bechtold, Chase Waterman, Jessica, Jacob and Joshua Boehner, Karilynn Waterman, Brianna and Collin Coyle; four sisters-in-law, Irma Ruston of Gilbertsville, Julia Orbacz and Wilma Pitreau, both of Otego, and Carol Cossetti of West Enfield, Maine.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Main Street, Delhi, from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, with John W. Truscott, commissioned lay preacher, officiating, where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.

Walter George Truesdell

GILBOA — Walter George Truesdell, 62, of Parsonage Hill Road, died unexpectedly Monday, March 20, 2006, at his residence.

Mr. Truesdell was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Catskill, the son of George and Mary (Wayman) Truesdell.

He was a lifelong area resident and had worked in construction all his life.

Mr. Truesdell was a member of the National Guard earlier in life.

He was an avid deer and bear hunter and also a Harley Davidson enthusiast.

Survivors include his loving friend, Ruth Truesdell of Gilboa; two sons, Walter Mark (Diane) Truesdell of Warnerville and Scott Truesdell of Gilboa; his daughter, Rebecca Truesdell of Glenmont; cherished grandchildren, Jaida, Morgan and Eric Truesdell; three brothers; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, with the Rev. Paul Buhrke officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Flat Creek Cemetery.
