Oneonta.

She was born Dec. 1, 1920, in the town of Belaire, the daughter of the late Burton and Lula (Allison) Hall.

She was married to Hugh F. Ramp on Dec. 25, 1938, in Arena.

Mrs. Ramp has been a resident of Bainbridge for over 45 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sidney.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh F. Ramp, of Bainbridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, June and Graydon Butts of Masonville and Donna and James Badolato of Sidney; her sister, Rebecca Wickham of Margaretville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Douglas and Francis Hall; and a sister, Edith Streeter.

The family will have a memorial service at their convenience.

There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements are by the Westcott Funeral Home Inc., 123 Main St., Unadilla, under the supervision of James S. Westcott and James C. Magee, funeral directors.

Hayward Regular Jr.

DELHI — Hayward Regular Jr., 91, of Delhi, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at Delaware County Countryside Care Center, Delhi.

He was born May 6, 1914, in Montreal, Canada, the son of Hayward and Ettie (Mercer) Regular Sr.

He married Bernice (Churchill) Regular, and they were married for 52 years. She predeceased him in 1995.

He was a partner in Regular Waddell Motor Sales, Schenectady, and owned Regular Liquor Cabinet, Glenville.

Mr. Regular was a graduate of Gilboa Central School, Gilboa. He was a veteran of World War II as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

A 64-year member of the Gilboa Lodge F&AM No. 630 of Gilboa, he also enjoyed membership in Ballston Spa Country Club, Ballston Spa, and Guna-HoHa Fish and Game Club, Scotia.

A brother, Lawrence Regular and his wife, Allien, of Delhi, and several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi, with Commissioned Lay Preacher John W. Truscott officiating.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville.

Contributions in his memory may be made to Delaware County Countryside Care Center, Delhi, NY 13753.

Arrangements are with the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi.

Howard Cook Jr.

FLY CREEK — Howard Cook Jr., 80, a lifelong resident of Fly Creek, died Saturday evening, March 25, 2006.

Howard was born in Fly Creek on June 21, 1925, the son of Howard and Jessie (Green) Cook.

On Oct. 9, 1948, he married Fly Creek native Fannie M. Lake in the Fly Creek United Methodist Church.

Although Howard worked for a number of years at The Otesaga, his first love was farming. He was throughout his life a proud and dedicated farmer who was known for his affection for animals and for the compassionate and caring manner by which he tended to them.

He was also known for his open and accepting nature and, during his final years at Woodside Hall, The Meadows and most recently at The Manor, he genuinely enjoyed socializing and joining in activities.

Howard was predeceased by his wife, Fannie, in 1989; and by his son, John.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Edwin Cook and Judith of Fly Creek; by his daughter, Patricia Forbes of the Dunhamsville area; and by four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Fly Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Pullyblank of the Fly Creek United Methodist Church officiating. A notice indicating the date and time of the burial will be published in a later edition.

Arrangements are under the supervision of Tillapaugh Funeral Service, Cooperstown and Milford.

Marjorie D. Ackerley

JOHNSTOWN — Marjorie D. Ackerley, 89, of Johnstown, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006, at the Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville, after a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Conesville, Schoharie County, a daughter of the late Cleveland and Birdell Pearsall Faulkner.

Marjorie was a homemaker and a loving mother.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas Ackerley of Flat Creek and Donald Ackerley of Hobart; three daughters, Jackie Cotter of Johnstown, Iris "Chickie" Wood of Breakabean, and Joyce Silver of Middleburgh; one brother, Carl Lincoln Faulkner of Canada; one sister, Vera Cook of Preston Hollow; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Ackerley; her son, Gary Ackerley; three brothers, Elwood, Clayton and Louis Faulkner; and two sisters, Pauline Barkman and Margaret Miller.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church of Fultonham, Route 30, Fultonham.

There will be no calling hours.

Cremation will be at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078.

Robert D. Chase

RICHMONDVILLE — Robert D. Chase, 76, of State Route 7, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County in Cobleskill.

Mr. Chase was born July 27, 1929, in Roxbury, the son of David B. and Ella (O’Brien) Chase.

He was a lifelong area resident and retired after 39 years from the Agway Feed Store in Cobleskill, where he was manager.

Mr. Chase was an exempt member of the Richmondville Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1955 to 1957, when he received an honorable discharge.

He enjoyed vacationing in Florida, camping, and mowing lawns.

On June 28, 1953, he married Bessie Miner. She predeceased him July 13, 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Tallman of Richmondville and Laurie McLear of Cobleskill; three sons, Robert A. Chase and Dale L. Chase, both of Richmondville, Alan D. Chase of Olathe, Kan.; a sister, Betty Porter of Harrisburg, Pa.; a brother, Ralph Chase of Arkville; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the Tallman residence, 413 State Route 7, Richmondville, with the Rev. Marvin Batcher of the Richmondville United Methodist Church officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marathon for a Better Life, care of Cheri Stevens, Warner Hall Room 218, SUNY Cobleskill, NY 12043.

Harry C. Myers

ONEONTA — Harry C. Myers, 95, of Oneonta, died March 26, 2006, at the A.O. Fox Nursing Home.

Mr. Myers worked as a tool- and-die maker for Bendix in Sidney.

Services and interment will be private in Oneonta Plains Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Bookhout Funeral Home, Oneonta.
