Friends of Bassett names board
Dennis A. Tallman, president of the Friends of Bassetts board of directors, announced eight new directors for the 2007 to 2010 term during a recent board meeting.
Joining the Friends of Bassett board for the 2007- to-2010 term are Sara Z. Albright, director of Bassett Healthcare’s Organizational Development and Learning and a resident of New Lisbon; Andrew M. Blum, managing director at C.E. Unterberg, Towbin and a Cooperstown and New York City resident; Bassett’s surgeon-in-chief emeritus Michael Gold, a Fly Creek resident; Susanna Hager of Cooperstown and Palm Beach; Delhi’s Krystine Hilton, business liaison of the Middleburgh Telephone Company, grant writer and project coordinator; Nancy Irvin of Cooperstown, who served as co-chair of the Friends of Bassett’s 2005 and 2006 New Year’s Eve Gala committees; former president of the Friends Patricia M. Smith, of Norwich and Cooperstown, who received the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year Award from the Association of Funding Professionals, Western Massachusetts Chapter, in 2004; and Michael Trosset of Cooperstown, partner in Lambert and Trosset, a law firm.

Streck, Bassett president and chief executive officer; Bertine McKenna, Bassett executive vice president and chief operating officer; Nicholas J. Nicoletta, Bassett corporate vice president and chief financial officer; and Charles T. Hage, immediate past president of the Friends.
The Friends recognized retiring board members James T. Dalton of Cooperstown, Mary E. Dunkle of Cooperstown, Gwen L. Schuster of Oneonta, Gayle S. Smith of Cooperstown and Janet H. Snyder of Fly Creek. The Friends board of directors also paid tribute to Elizabeth C. Wright of Cooperstown and Paul B. Raeder of Cooperstown, board members who died.
