Vines in Oneonta reopens
ONEONTA Vines has reopened under new ownership.
Jim Johnson, president of Banjo Communications, and Bo Matheson bought the restaurant Feb. 27, Johnson said.
The restaurant opened Wednesday night.
"It's a little less expensive, a little more mass appeal," Johnson said Wednesday.
Johnson said the restaurant's menu also has been expanded.
Vines, at 214 Main St., was formerly owned by Clive Griffiths and actor James Gandolfini. They closed the restaurant in November.
Oneonta Downtown Developer Jeff House said he was glad to see Vines in operation again.
"I don't think they'll lose anything," House said of the time the restaurant was closed during the winter. "That's good."
