DELHI _ A chase in Delhi on Friday led to the arrests of two people, Delaware County sheriff’s deputies said in a media release Wednesday.
Daniel Quackenbush, 34, no address given, was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. He is also being held in jail on a parole warrant.
Michele Jaquish, 36, no address given, was charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration, both misdemeanors. She is also being held on a probation warrant.
Quackenbush and Jaquish were arraigned in Delhi Town Court on Wednesday and jailed on $5,000 bail each.
The chase began when deputies, state Division of Parole and Delaware County Probation officers were attempting to locate Quackenbush and Jaquish at a residence north of the village of Delhi, deputies said.
They said the officers were at the home when Quackenbush and Jaquish drove up, saw the officers and immediately headed toward the village.
The two were stopped in the Federal Hill area south of the village with the assistance of Delhi village police, New York state police and SUNY Delhi police, deputies said.
Deputies are continuing the investigation with the possibility of more charges and arrests.
