Troopers: Man may have stolen guns
A charred body pulled from the burned shell of a seasonal home outside Margaretville was identified Thursday as Travis Trim, who troopers say may have stolen firearms from his uncle’s home earlier this week.
Trim, 23, of North Lawrence, is suspected of shooting three state troopers, one fatally, during an 18-hour span in southeastern Delaware County. He perished Wednesday when the seasonal residence he was hiding in erupted into flames during an assault by troopers using tear gas.
