Foreign guide lists Private Drawers

An Oneonta business has been featured in an international shopping guide.

Private Drawers is among lingerie shops included in Shop Scouting World Wide, according to a news release.

Private Drawers’ owner M.D. Poole announced the shop’s inclusion in the book late last month.

"I am honored that our Oneonta store has gained such international recognition," Poole said in a prepared statement. "Private Drawers tries to serve the community, have fun and develop long-term relationships, and the Shop Scouting book took note of that."

The shop is at 269 Main St. in Oneonta.

According to a news release from the book’s publisher, Private Drawers was included as a "concept" store. Other stores in the book include La Perla, Esprit Bodywear and Wacoal Dia.

The book is available for 45 euro _ about $62 _ from www.networkdessous.com. That price includes shipping from Italy to the United States. Text in the magazine is in English, French and Italian.

Haircut business moves

Haircuts by Pamela Baldwin is open at its new location.

Baldwin said the business moved from 389 Chestnut St. to 18 Oneida St. for a better location and better parking. The shop reopened Thursday.[an error occurred while processing this directive]
