Tom Grace grew up in the Springfield, Mass., area, the eldest of four
children. He came to Oneonta to attend Hartwick College in 1967,
graduating in 1972 with a B.A. in history. Grace began his newspaper
career as a writer for the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin, and later
was business editor of The (Norwich) Evening Sun, before coming to
The Daily Star in 1985
Grace was married in 1985, and he and his wife have two children.
