O-State men beat Binghamton in ASC soccer, 2-1
Women close regular season with 9-2 rout

Jme Amoako scored into an empty net less than five minutes into overtime on Saturday, giving Oneonta State a 2-1 men's soccer victory over host Binghamton in the Atlantic Soccer Conference.
Amoako scored the winner off an errant punt by Binghamton, which gained momentum on the tying goal with 47 seconds left in regulation.
Chris Montero gave Oneonta (7-6-1) a 1-0 lead 30 minutes and 7 seconds into the second half. Montero scored from 15 yards out after a clear on a corner kick.
Michael Procknal tied the score during a scramble in front of the O-State goal with less than a minute to play. Motty Gutflais earned the assist for Binghamton (0-12), which was outshot, 15-14.
Oneonta goalie Jack Potter made seven saves.

Women's Soccer
O-State 9, Nyack 2
The Red Dragons had a season-high 42 shots and held visiting Nyack to four to win a regular-season finale on Saturday.
Senior Amy DuCharme had a goal and two assists for O-State (16-3), which won its 15th straight game. DuCharme scored the opening goal 3:38 into the game, but Nyack tied the score on a goal from Rachel Church eight minutes later.
Stamford native and sophomore Rose Velan gave O-State the lead for good 12:58 in, scoring on a rebound off the goal post. Oneonta went ahead, 5-1, with three goals in four minutes, leading to a 6-2 lead at the half.
Freshman Danielle Altieri and Stamford graduate Brooke Davis contributed two goals apiece in the victory, which sent Nyack to 7-6-1.
The Red Dragons are the top seed for this weekend's SUNY Athletic Conference Championship, which opens for O-State at 11 a.m. Friday against Brockport at the Wright National Soccer Campus.
Oneonta, which went 10-0 in the SUNYAC this season, is seeking its third straight berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament and a fifth consecutive trip to the SUNYAC title game.

Volleyball
SUNYAC East Tournament
Cortland State won the second installment of the SUNYAC East pool play, sweeping three teams Saturday to finish 5-0 at DeWar Arena in Alumni Field House.
Cortland (23-10) also went 5-0 in the first round in September, finishing 10-0 to win the East Division.
O-State also went 3-0 on Saturday, finishing with a 4-1 mark over the two-day event for second place. Oneonta went 8-2 overall.
Potsdam and Plattsburgh, which both finished 5-5, will playoff for third place. The winner advances to the SUNYAC Championships, along with Cortland and O-State, Nov. 2-3.
O-State beat Potsdam, 30-28, 30-17, 24-30, 30-28, in its opener on Saturday. Sophomore setter Lacey Musso had 21 assists, eight digs, and five kills. Junior right side hitter Jacqueline Leahy added 15 kills and 10 digs. Oneonta also got 12 digs and nine kills from senior outside hitter Jayme Stewart.
The Red Dragons (22-15) then beat Utica/Rome, 30-11, 30-17, 30-28. Musso finished with 11 assists, nine digs and six aces. Junior middle hitter Dana Fleming added five kills and three blocks.
Oneonta also swept Plattsburgh, 30-21, 30-17, 30-20. Musso had 15 assists, five digs and five kills, and Leahy had eight kills and five digs.
In the West Division, Brockport, Geneseo and Buffalo State all went 3-1 to earn the top three seeds.
Oneonta is the No. 10 seed for this weekend's New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association Championships, which will be held at Alumni Field House on Saturday and Sunday. O-State opens at 1 p.m. Saturday against Vassar.

SUNYAC Championships
Oneonta's men finished ninth of 10 teams Saturday at New Paltz. Geneseo finished first with 34 points, followed by Plattsburgh with 52 and New Paltz with 94. Oneonta had 242 points.
Oneonta's women finished seventh of 11 teams at Saturday's SUNAYC Championships at New Paltz. Geneseo won with 38 points, followed by Cortland with 41 and Oswego with 81. Oneonta had 207 points.
