O-State to take on Colgate

Staff Report

Oneonta State men's soccer is off to Hamilton for a 7:30 p.m. game today against Colgate.

The Red Dragons (7-6-1) are coming off a 2-1 overtime victory at Binghamton on Saturday, one that broke a three-game winless streak. The victory also boosted O-State's Atlantic Soccer Conference record to 3-1, which is good for second place.

The Red Dragons are still in contention for the ASC title. First-place Philadelphia University (4-1) lost its first conference game last week to Florida International.

Last Saturday, sophomore Jme Amoako scored the winner fewer than five minutes into the first overtime. It was Amoako's fourth goal of the season, giving him a team-best 11 points.

Classmate Jack Potter made five saves in the victory. Potter is second in the ASC in goals against (0.88) and third in save percentage (.806).

Colgate (4-9) lost to Hartwick, 1-0, last Saturday at home. The Red Raiders are led by sophomore Zach Stuppy, who has four goals and one assist for nine points.

In last season's game, Colgate spoiled Oneonta's homecoming with a 1-0 overtime victory. The Raiders scored on a direct kick in the 116th minute of play.
