at Hunter Mountain

Nick Howes' third-place finish led the Oneonta boys to their second consecutive Section Four team victory in skiing at Hunter Mountain on Thursday.

Howes finished in 33.09 seconds, behind winner Jim Lawrence of Windham (30.10) and Hunter-Tannersville's Nick Maniscalco (31.32). Paul Theinpont and Taylor Labarr also placed in the top 10 for the Yellowjackets.

Windham's Antonia Schreiber won the girls race in 32.79 seconds, but H-T took the next four spots for the best team score. Tania Ripnick, Jennifer Bradley, Olena Ripnick and Jeanine Maniscalco placed 2 through 5, respectively, for the Wildcats. Oneonta's Jennifer Schmitt placed sixth overall.
