O-State basketball on the road tonight

Oneonta State will be on the road for non-conference basketball games tonight as the men play at Ithaca College and the women visit Mount St. Mary College. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. today.

Senior guard Kristin Lemon has helped the Oneonta women (9-8) to five consecutive victories, including an 80-51 rout of Geneseo last Friday. Lemon scored 19 in the game, where freshman Noreen Naughton scored 13 points to go along with 14 rebounds and four blocks. Senior Alena Seabrook leads O-State in rebounding at 8.2 per game. She is also scoring 9.5 points per game.

Defending Skyline Conference champion Mount St. Mary (13-4) has won 11 of its last 12 games. The Knights fell to host O-State last season, 70-63.

Sophomore Kurt Troyer led three O-State scorers in double digits last Friday as the Red Dragons men (8-10) beat Geneseo, 87-61. Troyer scored 21 points, complementing a 19-point night from Rashad Clark and a collegiate-best 17 points from freshman reserve Anthony Negreanu.

Troyer leads O-State at 17.4 ppg. Clark is second on the team at 14.4 ppg and Shaun Bauer contributes 11.5. Bauer is also second on the team in rebounding, at 6.6 per game. Senior Dave Micha leads the team at 7.5 rpg.
