Seniors Lemon, Clark honored by O-State as athletes of week

Senior basketball players Kristin Lemon and Rashad Clark earned athlete of the week honors from Oneonta State on Monday.
Lemon helped O-State's women to a 2-0 week by averaging 16 points and five assists. She also hit 7 of 16 3-pointers in leading the Red Dragons (9-8 overall, 6-4 SUNY Athletic Conference) to their fifth straight victory. Lemon, who has a varsity-best 46 3-pointers this season, is averaging 16.2 points per game and leads the team with 65 assists.
Clark paced the men's team to a 2-0 week as well. He scored 20 points, going 5-for-10 from 3-point range in the process, and had four assists in an 82-80 victory over Keuka. Clark, the Red Dragons' leading scorer (14.4 ppg), followed with a 19-point, 8-assist game as O-State beat Geneseo, 87-61. Clark leads Oneonta (8-10, 4-6), a winner of four of its last five, in 3-pointers (36), assists (111) and steals (47).
