McGraw resigns as Hawks coach
'Wick grad leaving men's basketball team
Hartwick men's basketball coach Tim McGraw resigned Wednesday after five seasons.
McGraw, 38, went 45-79 (.363) during his tenure. He also played at Hartwick from 1984-88 and is the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,878 points.
The school reported McGraw has accepted a job with the Gordon B. Roberts Agency, an insurance firm in Oneonta.
"We regret that Tim is leaving Hartwick," interim athletic director Betty Powell said, "but with a young and growing family, he understandably feels the need to be at home more than a head coaching position allows. Tim was a gifted player at Hartwick and an accomplished coach, and we wish him well in his new position."
