Senior Mike Konstanty had season-highs of 26 points and 18 rebounds as shorthanded Oneonta defeated host Norwich, 46-43, Friday in a Southern Tier Athletic Conference game.

Konstanty hit a key three-pointer to give the Yellowjackets a 43-39 lead. Konstanty and Greg Mattice then combined to go 5-for-6 from the line down the stretch as OHS improved to 7-0.

Oneonta (5-0 STAC) played without Joe Hughes and backup point guard Evan Friedell, who were sick. They lost Joffre Alvarez to a tailbone injury in the first half.

Mattice finished with eight points and point guard Chris Garcia had six.
