O-State going for 6th straight victory
Oneonta State Roundup
The first-place Oneonta State women's basketball team will look to continue its five-game winning streak this weekend.
The Red Dragons (10-2 overall, 5-0 SUNY Athletic Conference) play host to Geneseo at 6 tonight and Brockport at 2 p.m. Saturday.
O-State, coming off a 71-58 comeback victory over Cazenovia, are looking a lot like the 2000-01 team that went 9-0 in January en route to a 26-2 record. That team won SUNYACs and went to the NCAA Tournament.
Geneseo (8-5, 2-2) is in fifth place in the conference and defeated Buffalo State, 64-54, on Tuesday. Brockport (2-9, 1-2) was the coaches' preseason choice to win the conference but is in eighth place. Brockport eliminated O-State in last year's SUNYAC Tournament and eventually won the title.
