Bo Flowers tripled twice and drove in two runs to back Dan Konecny as the Oneonta Tigers beat the host Batavia Muckdogs, 3-1, Thursday in the New York-Penn League.

Konecny struck out four in eight innings, improving to 2-3 on the season and lowering his ERA to 3.49. He allowed four hits and one run.

Matt Pender pitched a scoreless ninth for his first save.

Oneonta (17-15) finished its eight-game road trip 6-2. The Tigers return home for a three-game series with the Tri-City ValleyCats, starting at 7 tonight.
