Broncos’ Cebula wins mile at NYC

Delhi Tech’s Michael Cebula won the mile Thursday at the New York City Armory in the second-best time among junior college runners this winter.
Cebula won in 4 minutes, 19 seconds, qualifying him for the NJCAA championships March 4-5 at Eastern Illinois.
The time is second in Delhi school history, trailing Justin Wood’s 4:16.1.
Cebula is the defending Region III champ in the 1,500 meters.
Johnny Baez won the 800 in 1:55.3, and Keith Romero placed second in 52.5 seconds.

Cobleskill 120, Dutchess CC 60
Abar Miller had 24 points and seven rebounds as Cobleskill finished the regular season with a blowout victory.
Daniel Pierre contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Chris Nicholsen added nine points, seven assists and five steals.
The Fighting Tigers lost to Mohawk Valley CC, 68-64, on Wednesday. Michael Lawrence scored 14 points for Cobleskill.
The Fighting Tigers (26-4) will next compete in the Region III Tournament on March 4.
