Delhi Tech 6, Herkimer 3
Tim McGowan defeated Mario Oscki, 6-4, 6-0, at second singles as Delhi Tech beat visiting Herkimer to win the Mountain Valley Conference Championship for the 10th time. Delhi’s Bill Forshaw defeated Kent Donley at No. 3 singles and Roger Skillman beat Nate Rowe at fourth singles.
The Broncos (5-1, 4-0) visit Onondaga CC on Friday.

at Delhi Tech
Delhi Tech’s Dan Haggerty set a school record in the 2,000 steeplechase, finishing in six minutes, 14.4 seconds to lead his team in the non-scoring Bronco Weekday Classic against Herkimer and Cobleskill.
Haggerty beat his previous record of 6:21.7, set last spring.
Delhi’s 6,000 relay team of Johnny Baez, Jason Cebula, Rick Dunbar and Jesse Caprotti also set a school record in 16:54.6. Baez also won the 400 (50.1) in an NJCAA-qualifying time.
Cobleskill’s Rob Farmham also qualified for the NJCAAs, winning the pole vault (12 feet, 6 inches).
In the women’s meet, Precious Moore qualified for the NJCAAs in the 100 (12.6) and Perry Brown in the 200 (26.8).
Ashley Coles won the discus and the hammer throw for Cobleskill.

Men’s Lacrosse
Herkimer 28, Cobleskill 1 Mashal Kay scored three goals and had three assists as Herkimer thumped host Cobleskill in the Mountain Valley Conference.
J.T. Donnelly and Geoff Weaver each scored three goals for Herkimer (11-1, 4-0), which outshot Cobleskill, 49-7.
