B-G grad among 78 honored for academics at O-State

Bainbridge-Guilford graduate Dustin Winn is among 37 Oneonta State athletes who earned spots on the SUNY Athletic Conference’s Commissioner’s List and spring All-Academic Team for the 2004-05 academic year.

Winn, The Daily Star’s Male Athlete of the Year in college sports, wrestled to a third-place finish at 157 pounds during the NCAA Division III championships. The All-American graduated as the Red Dragons’ all-time leader in wrestling victories, finishing with a record of 131-25.

Six other O-State athletes earned Commissioner’s List honors, awarded to those who compete during the winter and spring seasons and maintain a grade point average of 3.3 for three semesters.

O-State placed 35 others on the All-Academic Team, which acknowledges athletes who maintain a 3.3 GPA during the spring.
