’Wick one to watch
HARTWICK COLLEGE MEN’S SOCCER
The Hartwick College men’s soccer team is highlighted in an article as a team to watch on the College Soccer News website, www.collegesoccernews.com.
Hartwick is mentioned as one of 17 teams, along with Penn State, North Carolina, and Georgetown.
"With seven starters back and a good recruiting class, the Hawks will rule the Atlantic Soccer conference in 2005 if they play to their potential," the website states. "... don’t count (head coach Ian) McIntyre and the ’Wick out of the national picture."
Hartwick finished 13-3-3 overall last season and 4-1 in the ASC. Hartwick dropped its final match of the 2004 season to Florida International, which cost the Hawks an automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs. FIU is no longer a part of the ASC.
