Delhi routs NV; Bobcats fall hard

Brenton Hood rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries to lead the Delhi football team to a 50-0 non-division rout of Newark Valley in the Section Four Football Conference on Saturday.
Hood scored Delhi’s first two touchdowns on two 14-yard runs. Josh Wake scored on a 23-yard run and Geoff Rosa returned a blocked punt 21 yards to help the Bulldogs to a 30-0 halftime lead.
Wake finished with 45 yards on eight carries and scored three times. Twin brother Jason contributed 85 yards on six carries, and Nate Rockefeller carried nine times for 71 yards.
Delhi (4-0), fourth in the Class C state rankings, plays host to Walton at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Warriors (4-0) are ranked se[an error occurred while processing this directive]cond in Class D.
Newark Valley is 0-4.

Luke Lewis scored three touchdowns and had 133 combined rushing and receiving yards to lead host Oxford to a Division VII victory in Section Four.
Lewis scored on a 47-yard pass from Steve Locke and on a 32-yard run to help the Blackhawks (3-1, 1-0) to a 22-6 lead after one quarter.
Jon Walker, who scored on a 5-yard run in the opening quarter, led Bainbridge-Guilford with 57 yards on 13 carries. Chad Cornish also scored for the Bobcats (2-1, 1-1). B-G visits Unatego at 7 p.m. Friday.

Paul Graziadei rushed for 207 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries to lead visiting Little Falls to a Section Three Class D East victory. Barry Spaulding contributed three touchdowns and 164 yards on 11 carries for the Mounties (4-0), who had a total of 484 yards on the ground.
Teddy Dziadik finished with 42 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for Richfield Springs (0-4), which had been shutout its two previous games.
The Indians’ Kyle Richards completed 8 of 15 passes for 104 yards, including a 6-yard touchdown to Brian Bruce.
RS plays host to Hamilton at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Chris Bush finished with 63 yards rushing and 55 passing, but Cooperstown lost at Mount Markham in a Section Three Class C East game Friday.
Bush also contributed a 33-yard field goal and a 1-yard touchdown run for the Indians (2-2, 2-1).
"We had chances to win, but this team beat us," Cooperstown coach Steve Pugliese said. "They were more aggressive than we were. We didn’t play well and we just have to do better."
Chris Goodspeed had 84 yards on six carries for Cooperstown, which visits Ilion at 7:30 p.m. this Friday.

Justin Plows led Unadilla Valley/Edmeston (0-4, 0-2) with 86 yards on 19 carries. Plows scored on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter.
