Oneonta football routed, 28-0, in season finale

Staff Report
Kurt Spear completed 9 of 16 passes for 106 yards and three touchdowns to lead visiting Greene to a 28-0 Section Four Football Conference victory over Oneonta High on Friday night.
Spear threw for all of his touchdowns in the second quarter to help the Trojans (6-3) to a 21-0 lead.
Spear connected with Brian Shearer on a 1-yard score with 6:39 to go in the quarter.
Spear then hit Daniel Say on a 29-yard play with 5:38 left in the quarter. The scoring was capped with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Zach Whitaker with 38 seconds left.
"We had two lost fumbles and an interception that quarter," said Oneonta coach John Nealis, whose team finished 3-6. [an error occurred while processing this directive]quot;It just put us in the hole."
Bryan Bordinger led the Yellowjackets with 30 yards on eight carries. He finished his senior year with 102 rushes for 570 yards.

Chris Bush rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns to lead Cooperstown to a victory in the championship of the Herk Bowl on Thursday in Herkimer.

MAC Championships
The Delhi girls and Harpursville boys won Midstate Athletic Conference titles at Unatego.
Dara Matthews led the Bulldogs with a second-place finish of 22 minutes, 7 seconds over a 5,000-meter course. Teammates Johanna Sluiter (23:05) and Joanne Wheatley (23:20) took fourth and fifth, respectively.
Harpursville’s Kelly Billingiere won the individual title in 20:43, and Gilbertsville-Mount Upton’s Gabby Dello (22:32) finished third.
Colin Eustis won the boys title in 17:37 for the Bulldogs, who finished 17 points behind the Hornets. Afton’s Matt Davy (17:53), Delhi’s Silas Carey (17:57),and Unatego’s Mike Connor (18:01) finished in second-through-fourth, respectively.
