The Oneonta State women’s soccer team will attempt to win its 17th game of the season at 11 a.m. Saturday when the Red Dragons play host to Hamilton to finish the regular season.

O-State (16-2-1, 10-0 SUNY Athletic Conference) is ranked 10th in the NSCAA coaches poll and shutout Scranton, 3-0, Wednesday. Freshman Elizabeth Cherry, sophomore Mary Velan (Stamford) and senior Sarah Tauber each scored for the Red Dragons.

Velan has a team-high 35 points on 14 goals and seven assists. Senior Tricia Jaeger has 15 goals and three assists for 33 points. Junior Leslie Small (nine goals, one assist) and junior Corinne Tisei (five goals, five assists) have also contributed this season.

Senior goalie Laura Morcone has allowed nine goals this season and earned nine shutouts.

Eileen Fisher leads the Continentals with 19 points (seven goals, five assists). Sarah Felder has contributed five goals and two assists.
