ONEONTA — There’s more to Alexa Henderson than meets the eye.

It can be tough to look past 45 goals, 33 assists and 123 points, though.

One of two offensive superstars for the undefeated Downsville girls soccer team, Henderson proved last Saturday at the Wright National Soccer Campus that statistics don’t always tell the whole story.

Moments after Downsville’s 1-0 Class D state quarterfinal victory over LaFargeville, Henderson stood alone in her warm-up gear while fielding a cell-phone call on an adjacent field. When she hung up, she revealed some hang-ups.
