Seniors Kate Jaffie and Marie O’Malley scored 13 points apiece as the Oneonta High girls basketball team opened the season with a 42-31 victory over Delhi in the Drago Tournament on Wednesday.

The Jackets outscored the Bulldogs, 15-7, in the fourth quarter, with Jaffie and O’Malley combining for 13 points.

Bridget Farago had all seven Oneonta points in the third quarter and finished with nine.

Caitlyn Burr led Delhi with 12 points and Meg Taylor contributed eight.

Reigning Section Four Class A champion Oneonta will play Unatego at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in the championship.
