[an error occurred while processing this directive] Megnin on NCAA ballot Hartwick College graduate Maria Megnin (Class of 2000) is one of 44 athletes appearing on the NCAA’s ballot for the Most Outstanding Athletes of the last 25 years in women’s track and field.
The NCAA is celebrating the 25th anniversary of women’s sports championships by selecting all-time teams in several sports.
Athletes must have won multiple titles or be an NCAA record holder to appear on the ballot. Megnin is a two-time NCAA champion (1998, outdoor track; 1999, indoor track) and holds the Division III record in the high jump, at 5-11¾.
Megnin, a 2005 Hartwick Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, won six New York State Collegiate Track Conference titles and four Eastern College Athletic Conference crowns in the high jump. She earned Hartwick’s freshman female athlete of the year award and was twice selected as the school’s female athlete of the year.
