North Carolina Wesleyan used a seven-run fifth inning to rally for an 11-4 victory over Hartwick at the Gene Autry Sports Complex on Thursday.
The Hawks (6-5) trailed, 3-0, before scoring four runs in the top of the fifth. Freshman Cagney Turner had an RBI single to start the spurt for Hartwick, then scored following three straight walks.
Sophomore Brad Polcare capped the inning with a two-run double to give Hartwick its only lead.
The Hawks committed five errors in the bottom of the inning, and North Carolina Wesleyan capitalized with five runs.
Junior Tyler Saladin had two hits to lead Hartwick, which finishes its spring trip to Arizona with a doubleheader against Wi[an error occurred while processing this directive]lliams College at 1 p.m. today.
