| tball doubleheader as Oneonta State capped a sweep of city-rival Hartwick College with a 14-2 win Wednesday at Neahwa Park.
Oneonta, which won the opener, 5-1, scored four runs in the first innings of each game.
In the opener, winning pitcher Nicole Marshall hit a two-run single as O-State scored four unearned runs. Marshall held the Hawks (7-15)to three hits. Losing pitcher Kelsey Heider struck out five and allowed five unearned runs and six hits.
Ashley Risco hit a two-run single in the first inning of the second game as Oneonta jumped to a 4-0 lead. O-State (13-15)scored six times in the sixth as Norwich had a three-run double and pinch-hitter Kiki Roginski had a three-run homer.

Cobleskill 10, Columbia-Greene 7 Ron Smalling capped a 3-for-5 effort with an RBI single in the top of the seventh as Matt Young scored the go-ahead run in a Mountain Valley Conference victory for visiting Cobleskill.
Young contributed a two-run homer in the ninth to seal it for the Fighting Tigers (11-12, 8-1), who host Herkimer at 3 p.m. today.
Winning pitcher Adam Cernauskus finished 3-for-5, and John Wallace went 2-for-3.

Women’s Lacrosse
O-State 17, Potsdam 5 Junior Erin Maybeck scored five goals, and senior Jessica Garabedian had four as O-State won a SUNY Athletic Conference game in its final home game this season.
With the score tied at 1, Garabedian started a 6-0 run with a free-position goal at the 17-minute, 31-second mark. Junior Rachael Litts capped the spurt just under 11 minutes later, helping the Red Dragons (5-7 overall, 3-1 SUNYAC) to a 7-1 halftime lead.

Water Polo
Hartwick seeded first The Hartwick College water polo team earned the top seed for this weekend’s Collegiate Water Polo Association’s Northern Division Championship at Harvard University on Saturday and Sunday.
The Hawks (20-9, 5-0), ranked 13th, have won the CWPA title in each of their five years of existence, going 44-0 in conference play.
The Hawks are in Bracket A with Harvard and Utica. Second-seeded Brown is in Bracket B with Connecticut College and Queens College.
Hartwick ranks third in the country in scoring with 10.8 goals per game, behind USC and UCLA.
The top two finishers earn automatic berths into the CWPA Eastern Championships, which run April 29-30 at Brown University.
The CWPA Eastern champion receives the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, an eight-team event at the University of California-Davis that runs May 12-14.
