Staff Report
Ashley Jacoby’s two-run single with two out in the bottom of the seventh provided the tying and winning runs Wednesday in Cherry Valley-Springfield’s 14-13 Tri-Valley League softball victory over visiting Milford.
Jacoby and Savannah Crowley each went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the Patriots. Teammate Michelle Natali doubled, tripled and drove in three runs.
Rachel Schultes went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, and Liza Hendricks doubled, tripled and drove in two runs for Milford.
CV-S coach Tom Brigham’s daughter, freshman Emily Brigham, had a single, walk, sacrifice, two stolen bases and scored three runs for Milford.
When asked if he’d remind his daughter of the score at dinner, Tom Brigham said: "No. I’d get punched. Plus, we[an error occurred while processing this directive] have to play them again."
CV-S (2-1) plays host to Worcester on Friday.

Worcester 12, Edmeston 9
Emily Bristol’s three-run, inside-the-park homer to right in the sixth inning gave Worcester a 10-9 lead in its Tri-Valley League victory at Edmeston.
"I was impressed with the way Worcester hit the ball today," Edmeston coach Brian Burgess said.
Bristol finished 4-for-5 with five RBIs.
Losing pitcher Kati Dennis went 3-for-4 and homered in the fourth inning. She also had 11 strikeouts.
Edmeston (3-2, 2-1) plays at Morris on Friday.

The visiting Yellowjackets became the first team to score against Susquehanna Valley this season, but they lost to the defending Class B state champion in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.
OHS coach George Moussa said the four runs OHS scored Wednesday were the first runs the Jackets have scored against the Sabers in his 11 years as coach.
"I was proud of them," Moussa said of his team. "When the coach of the other team (Dale Cook) says your team was the first to score against them this season, that says something. Maybe we’re starting to build toward something."
The Jackets (1-8, 1-7) scored three runs in the third inning to pull within, 5-3, off relief pitcher Dani Pendlebury. Bridget Farago hit a two-run triple in the inning. Farago had two triples.

Ashley Skovira went 5-for-5 with two RBIs in Delhi’s non-division victory over visiting Oxford.
Winning pitcher Caitlyn Burr struck out four and walked one in a three-hitter.

Sidney 13, Unadilla Valley 6 Winning pitcher Danielle Gravel struck out 10 in a MAC road victory for Sidney.
Megan Walker finished 3-for-4 for the Warriors, and teammate Misty Cotton went 2-for-4.
Unadilla Valley (2-6) led, 5-3, through six innings but gave up 10 runs on eight errors in the seventh.
Leslie Barnes finished 2-for-4, with a double and two RBIs to lead the Storm.
UV hosts Unatego at 4:30 p.m. today.

Osborne finished 3-for-6 with three RBIs and teammate Ashley Miles went 3-for-5 with an RBI.
Lindsay Worden went 3-for-5 for the Purple Devils.
