Cooperstown native Sarah Groff, 24, finished second at the ITU Honolulu Pan American Cup Triathlon on May 14.

Groff and 21-year-old Colorado resident Jasmine Oeinck broke away from 23-year-old Floridian Sara McLarty during the last event, a 6.2-mile run. Oeinck surged late for a 27-second victory over Groff as the winner finished in 1:57:18.

Groff won $2,500 for finishing second.

The race will be televised on the Outdoor Life Network from 3:30-4 p.m. June 17 and at the same time June 20.
