O-M wins D title at Delhi
Stamford’s Altheim paces locals at 79

Consistency led the Odessa-Montour golf team to the Section Four Class D championship Thursday at the par-72 Delhi College Golf Course.
The Indians’ top-six scorers ranged from 86s by Mike Neumire and Scott Hubbell to Dale Carrigan’s 99 for a team total of 441 strokes. O-M won the sectional title by 13 strokes over second-place Hancock, which featured medalist Adam Forrester’s 77.
Stamford’s Victor Altheim was the only other player among the field of 42 to break 80, finishing with a 79. He helped St[an error occurred while processing this directive]amford to 466 strokes and a share of third place with Hunter-Tannersville.
Tri-Valley League champion Edmeston placed fifth with 481 strokes. Morris, which won the season-ending Tri-Valley League Tournament on Wednesday, finished at 518 and tied Deposit for last place.
The top nine players earned recognition as Class D medalists. Forrester and Altheim were followed by H-T’s Dylan Thompson (80); Edmeston’s Alex Johnson (80); Deposit’s Mike Wagner (83); Hancock’s Kyle Houshultz (84); Neumire; Hubbell; and Edmeston’s Tony DeGristina (87).
