Section Three State Qualifiers
Cooperstown’s Joe Horrigan earned a state-tournament berth Saturday with a two-round total of 159 during the Section Three State Qualifiers at the par-72 Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton.
Horrigan, who opened the qualifiers with an 82 Thursday, started with an 82 Saturday before shooting a 77. He placed eighth out of 107 players to earn a spot on the Section Three state team.
Horrigan, who made each cut by one stroke, will compete at the state tournament Friday through Monday at Cornell’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Ithaca.
