O-Tigers-Lowell rained out Sunday

Staff Report

The Oneonta Tigers’ New York-Penn League game against the visiting Lowell Spinners was postponed Sunday because of rain.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Aug. 22. The first game will start at 6 p.m.

Oneonta (4-1), which swept Lowell in the shortened two-game set, begins a six-game road trip at 7:05 tonight at Vermont. After three games with the Lake Monsters, the O-Tigers travel to Lowell for a three-game set beginning Thursday.

Oneonta, which is in first place in the Stedler Division, returns home Sunday for a three-game series with Vermont.

Matt O’Brien will pitch for Oneonta tonight. He’ll be followed in the rotation by Chris Cody, Jeff Gerbe, Tom Thornton and Zach Piccola.
