Delhi men down Broome
Staff Report
William Vasquez scored off an assist from Kohei Nakahashi with 7 minutes, 48 seconds left Thursday to help SUNY Delhi to a 2-1 men’s soccer victory over visiting Broome Community College.
Nakahashi beat a defender before crossing to Vasquez, who gave the Broncos (3-3) a two-goal lead with a shot from close range.
Brian Anderson also scored for the Broncos (3-3), who play at Jefferson at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Amanda Carfora had 15 kills and seven blocks to lead SUNY Cobleskill to a 30-20, 30-17, 30-16 victory over Herkimer County CC on Thursday.
Keiko Watanabe finished with 13 kills and four blocks, and Michelle Radley had 12 kills for Cobleskill.
The Fighting Tigers (8-4) host an invitational at 10 a.m. Saturday.

SUNY Delhi named soccer players Jeff Cappello and Amanda Moffett its athletes of the week Wednesday.
Cappello made 18 saves _ including a penalty kick _ in a 2-0 victory over nationally ranked Tompkins-County CC. Cappello earned his second shutout this season.
Moffett led Delhi to its first win of the season with five saves in her first shutout of the fall last week.
