Brit Hulbert had a goal and an assist to lead visiting Afton to a Section Four Conference Division II victory.

Amanda Rupakus, Leann Westfall and Jessie Winans also scored for the Crimson Knights, who took a 3-0 halftime lead.

"In the first half, they killed us with their fastbreaks," said Walton coach Brynne Hoover, whose team fell to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the division. "We had our chances and opportunities, but that was the difference. They executed."

Sybil Stanton and Katie Eisele scored for the Warriors.

Afton's Matt Davy and Casey Mohrien finished 1-2 in the four-team meet won by Harpursville, which had 28 points to beat the hosts by one Tuesday.

Davy completed the 4,000-meter course in 14:15, four seconds ahead of his teammate. Unatego's Travis Butts finished third in 15:14.

Stephanie Sherman of Afton finished second in the girls race, crossing in 18:23. Harpursville's Kelly Billingiere won in 16:02.

Harpursville won with 22 points. Unatego, which was led by Alyssa Mazzarello's fifth-place finish (19:35), was second with 33.

Melanda Wagner won two individual events as Oneonta won a non-league meet over Cooperstown, 91-74.

Wagner won the 200-yard individual medley (2:40.81) and the 100 backstroke (1:11.47). She also led the winning 200 medley relay team, with Meredith Ridgway, Michelle Seeger, and Leah Willis.

Hayley Golden and Sarah Clemons won the 500 free and 200 free, respectively, for the Yellowjackets.

Rachel Pier won the 50 and 100 free for Cooperstown.
