Stephanie Meno scored two goals and visiting Sidney limited Bainbridge-Guilford to three shots in avenging two early-season losses to the Bobcats with a 2-0 Midstate Athletic Conference girls soccer victory Wednesday.
"We didn't control the ball at all, we didn't have a good touch, we didn't pass well and they beat us to the ball," B-G coach George Williams said of the differences between this game and B-G's earlier wins against Sidney. "They beat us in every facet of the game tonight. They completely dominated us."
Meno scored 4 minutes, 40 seconds into play. She took a corner kick and Maria Mirabito played the ball back to Meno, who scored from 18 yards.
With 34:10 left to play, Meno re-directed a shot by Danielle Gravel from close range to make it 2-0.
"She's very active and she got to the ball," Williams said of Meno. "She took advantage of the opportunities given to her and that's the kind of player she is. She has good positioning and seems anticipate where the ball is going to be."
B-G (8-2-2, 6-1-1) plays at Greene on Friday.
