Women’s Soccer
Hartwick 0, Elmira 0 (OT)
Sophomore goalie Ashley Taylor earned her fifth shutout of the season as visiting Hartwick tied Elmira in an Empire 8 game Wednesday.
Taylor made 13 saves, including three in overtime. The Hawks (4-12-2) were outshot, 19-10. Hartwick visits Russell Sage at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Field Hockey
Utica 3, Hartwick 2
Laurie Calvasina scored in the 65th minute to snap a 2-all tie and lead host Utica to an Empire 8 Conference victory.
Lindsay Kurtz and Amanda Johnson had a goal apiece for the Hawks (5-10), who plays host to Stevens Tech at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Men’s Soccer

Chris Jackson scored in the 43rd minute to lead visiting Hartwick to a non-conference victory Tuesday night.
Jackson controlled a loose ball and scored from about 30 yards. The shot went off Cornell goalie Luca Cerretani’s made a diving attempt to punch the ball away, but it was called a goal as it went across the goal line.
The Big Red (2-8-3) had a 13-8 advantage in shots. Hartwick goalie Joe Gibson made nine saves.
The Hawks (8-8-1) close out the regular season Saturday at Longwood University.
Honors
SUNY Delhi men’s soccer players Fran Colone (Sidney) and Will Vasquez were named Mountain Valley Conference all-stars.
Colone plays defense and Vasquez led the Broncos in scoring this season. Vasquez had nine goals and four assists for Delhi, which went 7-8.
Volleyball
Cobleskill seeded second
SUNY Cobleskill earned the No. 2 seed in the NJCAA Region III Tournament, which will be held Saturday and Sunday at Alfred State.
The Fighting Tigers (18-5), who won the Mountain Valley Conference title this season, opens pool play at 11 a.m. Saturday against No. 7 Jamestown CC. Cobleskill also plays at 2:30 p.m. (No. 6 Monroe CC) and 5:30 p.m. (No. 3 Jefferson).
The top two finishers in each pool advance to the semifinals Sunday. The final will also be played Sunday.
