Cobleskill 76, Schenectady 41

Stanley Francois had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead visiting Cobleskill to a Mountain Valley Conference victory Monday.

Anthony Armstead contributed nine points and 13 rebounds for the Fighting Tigers (3-2), who host Corning on Thursday.

Daniel Smalls, who played for Cobleskill last season, led Schenectady with 14 points.

Ben Bowman scored 11 points to lead SUNY Orange to a victory in the Pete Pavia Tournament consolation game at Monroe Community College on Saturday.

Jonathan Myers scored a game-high 19 points for the Broncos (1-3), who also got 10 rebounds from Abar Miller.

Delhi lost to host Monroe, 65-63, on Friday. Myers and Danilio Hutchinson shared team-high scoring honors with 12 points.

Kim McMillen scored a game-high 22 points and had 10 rebounds Saturday, leading Cobleskill to a non-conference road victory.

Erinn O’Rourke had 11 points and four steals; Meghan Smida had 11 points and five assists; and Kim Stahl had seven points and seven rebounds for Cobleskill (3-0), which plays at Finger Lakes at 7 p.m. today.

Honors

Cobleskill athlete of the week

Cobleskill named women’s basketball player Kim McMillen its athlete of the week Monday.

McMillan, a 5-foot-10 forward, led Cobleskill to wins over Herkimer and Corning this past week. She combined for 38 points and 19 rebounds in the two games.

Cobleskill (3-0 overall, 1-0 Mountain Valley Conference) visits Finger Lakes at 7 tonight.
