Women’s Basketball

Cobleskill 68, FLCC 55

Kim McMillen had 19 points and 18 rebounds to lead SUNY Cobleskill to a non-conference women’s basketball victory Tuesday at Finger Lakes Community College.

Kim Stahl contributed 16 points, and April Ackermann had eight points and 11 rebounds for the Fighting Tigers (4-0), who play Dean College (Mass.) in the opening round of the Cayuga Tournament at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Lisa Ruff (Delhi) had 16 points and five steals, but host SUNY Delhi fell at home in a non-conference loss to Tompkins-Cortland Community College. Kelly Taggart (Franklin) had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Broncos (0-5), who host Onondaga at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Chelsea Hammont contributed 12 rebounds for Delhi, which went 0-2 this past weekend at the Canton Classic. Amanda Moffett (Walton) scored 10 points in Sunday’s consolation game, a 69-26 loss to Canton, en route to all-tournament honors. The Broncos opened the tournament with a 53-27 loss to Clinton on Saturday.

Swimming

Delhi splits with Cobleskill

Brian Wolfe and Will Quinn won two individual events apiece and paced the Delhi men’s swimming team to two relay victories in a 118-68 win over host Cobleskill. The Fighting Tigers’ women edged Delhi, 83-80.

Wolfe won the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.08) and the 500 free (5:29.55) for the Broncos, who received wins from Quinn in the 200 individual medley (2:35.52) and the 100 backstroke (1:09.95).

The duo also competed for the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.

Matthew Hatlee paced Cobleskill with wins in the 50 free (22.47), the 100 free (53.35) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.37).

Cobleskill’s women swept the relays, winning the 200 medley and 200 free en route to a narrow victory.

Gabrielle Asay contributed triumphs in the 200 individual medley (2:41.46) and the 100 butterfly (1:09.00).

Shari Weiss led Delhi with wins in the 50 free (27.37), the 100 free (1:02.57) and the 100 breaststroke (1:26.30).
