Cobleskill to host basketball event
SUNY Cobleskill will host the 2006 Hall of Fame High School Boys Basketball Tournament for varsity and junior varsity teams Dec. 27 and Dec. 29.
The schedule is as follows:
Dec. 27 JV: Delhi vs. Fort Plain, 2:30 p.m.; Cobleskill-Richmondville vs. Canajoharie, 4:15 p.m.
Dec. 27 varsity: Delhi vs. Fort Plain, 6:15 p.m.; Cobleskill-Richmondville vs. Canajoharie, 8 p.m.
Dec. 29 JV: Consolation, 2:30 p.m.; Championship, 4:15 p.m.
Dec. 29 varsity: Consolation, 6:15 p.m.; Championship, 8 p.m.
Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for elementary and high school students.
Section Two and Section Four passes also will be honored.

OBGC to start senior basketball Dec. 9
The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will begin its senior boys basketball league Dec. 9.
Rosters must be completed and returned to the club by Dec. 6. Players who seek to join a team should sign up at the OBGC by Dec. 6.
The league is for players ages 16-18 who are not on a varsity or junior varsity team but are still eligible to play high school basketball.

Morris basketball tournaments set
The Morris basketball teams will host two tournaments in December. Tickets cost $3 for adults and $2 for students for each tournament.
The Morris Booster Club Tournament runs Dec. 14-16 at Oneonta State and features varsity and junior varsity boys and girls games.
The schedule is as follows:
Dec. 14 _ JV girls: Davenport vs. Gilbertsville-Mount Upton, 4 p.m.; Otselic Valley vs. Morris, 5:30 p.m. Varsity girls: Davenport vs. G-MU, 7 p.m.; OV vs. Morris, 8:30 p.m.
Dec. 15 _ JV boys: Davenport vs. G-MU, 4 p.m.; OV vs. Morris, 5:30 p.m. Varsity boys: Davenport vs. G-MU, 7 p.m.; OV vs. Morris, 8:30 p.m.
Dec. 16 _ JV girls consolation, 9:30 a.m.; JV boys consolation, 11 a.m.; JV girls championship, 12:30 p.m.; JV boys championship, 2 p.m.; Varsity girls consolation, 4 p.m.; Varsity boys consolation, 5:30 p.m.; Varsity girls championship, 7 p.m.; Varsity boys championship, 8:30 p.m.
The Mustangs’ boys also will host the Ray Clement Holiday Tournament from Dec. 27-28.
