Ketzlick leads Milford to victory

Staff Report

Corinne Ketzlick scored a game-high nine points to lead Milford’s girls basketball team to a 32-11 victory over Margaretville in a semifinal of the Roxbury Tournament on Monday.

Chandler Prouty scored eight points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Milford, which won despite shooting 10-for-61 from the floor in its opening game of the season.

"I think we’re still playing soccer," Milford coach Jim Weir of his players, many of whom played for the Wildcats’ Section Four Class D champion soccer team. "We’re not shooting with our feet, so that’s a good sign."

Margaretville, which received four points from Erika Faulker, plays Roxbury in the consolation game at 6:30 p.m.
