Men’s Basketball

Hartwick 87, Massachusetts 78

Cory Carson scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, leading Hartwick College to an overtime victory at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Tuesday.

Carson made 11 of 14 shots from the field and also had six assists and two steals.

Jan Cocozziello had 24 points and seven rebounds for he Hawks (2-1). The Trailblazers fell to 0-3.

With the scored tied at 69 after regulation, the Hawks went 4-for-5 from the field and 10-for-10 from the free throw line in overtime.

The Hawks outrebounded MCLA, 43-30.

Senior Pat Dunnigan, who missed the first two games of the year, scored eight points and Raymond Doyley had nine points and eight rebounds for Hartwick, which shot 50 percent from the field and 81 percent from the line.

Hartwick plays SUNY Maritime in its home-opener at 2 p.m. Sunday.[an error occurred while processing this directive]

Broome 67, Delhi 35

The host Hornets opened a 20-point halftime lead en route to victory over visiting SUNY Delhi on Tuesday.

Delhi graduate Lisa Ruff had a team-high 12 points for the Broncos. Kelly Taggart (Franklin) scored 10 for Delhi (1-7).

Unatego graduate Erika Puffer had seven points for the Hornets (2-2).
